Abstract

YouTube has become one of the most widely used social media platforms in the world, with over 2 billion monthly active users. In the context of education, YouTube offers a wide range of content that is freely accessible, making it a valuable resource for inclusive learning. Inclusive education aims to provide equal learning opportunities for all students, regardless of their background or ability. In this paper, we will discuss how YouTube can be used as a tool in inclusive education, as well as the challenges and benefits associated with it. One of the main advantages of using YouTube in inclusive education is its ability to provide diverse and engaging learning materials. Learning videos can improve students' understanding when compared to traditional teaching methods. With a variety of content formats, including video tutorials, animations, and presentations, YouTube allows teachers to present materials in a way that is more engaging and easier to understand for students with various learning needs.  In addition, YouTube also provides opportunities for students to learn independently and at their own pace. This is especially important in inclusive education, where students with special needs may require more time to grasp a concept. Through YouTube, students can repeat videos they find difficult until they fully understand them, without feeling pressured by the pace of a traditional classroom. Thus, YouTube has great potential as a learning resource for inclusive education, but it needs to be balanced with a careful and planned approach. By harnessing the power of video as a teaching tool, teachers can create more inclusive and effective learning experiences. Moving forward, it is important to continue exploring and evaluating the use of YouTube in educational contexts in order to maximise its benefits for all students.
