Strategi Badan Pengurus Jemaat Dalam Meningkatkan Keuangan Gereja Kemah Injil Indonesia Kecamatan Binjai Kabupaten Sintang Tahun 2023

Abstract

Every local church should be able to achieve financial independence. The goal is to have funds to carry out physical development such as church buildings, pastors, procurement of musical instruments, vehicles, and other church facilities. In addition, church finances can be used for the welfare of the pastor and also help members of the congregation who are less fortunate. The author conducted research in GKII, Binjai District, Sintang Regency because he saw churches in this sub-district on average have independence in the financial sector. The title of the research in connection with this is BPJ's Strategy in Improving the Finances of GKII, Binjai District, Sintang Regency in 2023.

In conducting this research, the researcher used a mixed sequential explanatory method. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observations and interviews. The results showed that there were 57.1% of the Church Management Board in GKII, Binjai District, Sintang Regency that had a strategy in increasing church finances, and 77.1% of Local’s Chuch Leader  said that the church's finances were in a surplus.
